The AlterVerse team is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with Router Protocol!

The Router Protocol storefront has been built within Sky City. Players can stop by, learn about the protocol, hang out with fellow Web3 enthusiasts, as well as take part in quests and mini-games to earn rewards. Router Protocol may also help AlterVerse with integrating multi-chain ATM’s throughout Sky City.

Router Protocol is a cross-chain infrastructure layer which enables communication between various blockchains; including fund transfers, asset swaps, and cross-chain applications (dapps). Voyager is Router Protocol’s flagship dapp for cross-chain swaps and transfers.

Router Protocol is a mechanism for cross-chain communication that will initially focus on the specific use case of bridging assets across multiple layer 1 and layer 2 networks by using stablecoins as the medium of value transfer. In addition to asset transfers, Router Protocol also enables the flow of arbitrary messages across chains securely and seamlessly, thereby extending the composability of DeFi across various blockchains.

The problem of blockchain interoperability has become harder to ignore as more siloed ecosystems emerge across the DeFi space. To solve this issue, multiple bridging technologies have emerged in recent times.

Some of the issues that are prevalent across most of these technologies, which Router Protocol aims to solve, include:

• Existing Bridges are 1-to-1 — Such a model lacks extensibility since it requires the addition of N separate bridges each time a new chain has to be added (where N denotes the number of chains in the network).
• State Dependency — Currently, most protocols are limited only to ERC20 states. However, there is a growing need for cross-chain states across a range of applications.
• Lack of Transparent Accounting — There is no clear and public record of all the transactions going through the bridges. Also, there is no way to verify the state transitions from one blockchain to another.

Built with Unreal Engine 5, AlterVerse is an immersive metaverse gaming experience. Players can buy land, build, shop, socialize, gather resources, craft non-fungible tokens (NFTs), trade items, & play-and-earn in many ways.
