What is a Decentralized Fiat Onramp?

Kriptomat has taken a novel approach to integrating new cryptocurrencies like $AVC into its fiat onramp – one that we don’t think anyone’s seen before.

Kriptomat has integrated the 1inch’s Aggregation API into the backend, and connected it to their fiat-onramp experience.

This allows anyone, no matter how tech or crypto savvy they are, to purchase currencies like $AVC conveniently with their credit cards.

The entire decentralized trading process is completely invisible to the users, allowing them to purchase cryptocurrencies from decentralized exchanges without any complexity. This means gamers with no or little crypto knowledge will soon have access to $AVC – and thousands of other tokens – even before they are listed on centralized exchanges.

In the background, the process works like this:

1. A player wants to purchase $AVC, which will exist on BNB Chain at the time of launch.
2. The user confirms the amount of $AVC they want to buy
3. Kriptomat takes a payment from the user.
4. Kriptomat then spends the fiat to buy BNB.
5. Now, Kriptomat initiates a swap of BNB to $AVC, using 1inch.
6. The user receives $AVC directly to their Web3 wallet

Steps 4 and 5 happen in the background, while the player gets to enjoy a seamless experience of paying with a Credit Card and receiving their $AVC within minutes.

This is a new paradigm for decentralized trading, allowing fully-transparent on-chain trades to facilitate a better user-experience.
